The hotel room was a bit tight for four people with two bunk beds, which were not very practical. The room had a musty smell, and there was an issue with an additional single bed impacting the bedroom space. It did not meet my expectations as a superior room based on the booking.

Service

The staff was really helpful and friendly; they provided me with local recommendations on spots to visit in town. Overall, the service was perfect for me, and I would stay again.
Location
7.0
The hotel's location was good but did not offer any credit to the hotel itself. It was centrally located in Folkestone, very close to the train station. However, it was a bit far from the Dover port, and although car parking was available around the hotel, moving the car before 9 am to a different location to avoid fines was inconvenient.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was good value for £4 and set us up nicely for the day. However, there was no discount for the early hour of departure. The dining options seemed limited or did not start until Monday.
Facilities

The hotel offers car hire services, which can be convenient for guests exploring the area.

8.2/10
The guesthouse has a great location, close to Dover ferries and the railway station. The room was comfortable with the en-suite bathroom that accommodated us perfectly. The service was friendly and helpful, providing local tips. The dining, despite being in the 'Low Season', was good value for money. However, a signage issue made finding the guesthouse difficult, and the water speed was close to useless.
